About

My name is Yohanes Baptista Dafferianto Trinugroho. I am Indonesian, and I have been travelling outside my home country for several years. I currently live in Grimstad, Norway.

I hold a bachelor degree in computer science issued by Universitas Gadjah Mada in 2006. I pursued my graduate study with the Erasmus Mundus scholarship funded by the European Commission in the EuMI-European Master in Informatics programme where RWTH Aachen University, Germany, and University of Trento, Italy, are the main and partner universities respectively, and was graduated with a double master's degree in March 2010. I am currently enrolled as a PhD student at University of Agder.

I worked for PT. Pasifik Satelit Nusantara PoP Yogyakarta from early 2005 to mid 2007 as a Network Operation Center (NOC) engineer. During my graduate study, I did a mandatory internship at Fraunhofer FIT for a short period of time, then I worked for several months as a student research assistant at CATS RWTH Aachen. During my thesis work period, I worked in parallel for Ericsson Eurolab in Aachen and Herzogenrath, Germany, as a student helper and an intern from August 2009 till September 2010. I currently work as a research fellow at the ICT department, University of Agder.

I had several experiences in programming using Java (Java SE and Java EE), C#, C++, C, PHP, and JSP for small projects with mainly MySQL and Apache Derby used for the backend DBMS. I am familiar with various different operating system environments including different Linux distros, FreeBSD, Mac OS, and Windows. In addition, I am also familiar with the operation of several state-of-the-art network entities for service provisioning such as the Ericsson IMS Core, Open IMS Core, and Ericsson Connected Home Gateway.

I am very interested in data communication area of specialisation, especially related to service provisioning within the NGN arena, and am aiming my near-future career in this direction.
